devesme
Transparent & Trustworthy

How It Works

deves.me uses blockchain wallets under the hood for authentication and optional crypto settlements. Here's everything you need to know.

How Sign-In Works

Multiple ways to sign in — no crypto knowledge required.

Google or Apple

Social login — no wallet extension needed

Email

Sign in with email and password

WalletConnect

Connect an existing wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, etc.)

Wallet connection is optional

Sign in with Google, Apple, or email to start using deves.me — no crypto wallet required. If you want to use crypto settlements, you can connect an external wallet (like MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet) later from the Wallet page.

Your Wallet

Connect an external crypto wallet (like MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet) to enable crypto settlements.

deves.me never stores your private keys — your wallet is managed entirely by your wallet app.

Your wallet address (starts with 0x...) is visible on the Wallet page after you connect.

Your Private Key

Your private key is managed by your wallet app — deves.me never has access to it.

1

Open your wallet app

MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or whichever wallet you connected.

2

Find the export or backup option

Each wallet app has its own settings for revealing your private key or seed phrase.

3

Store it securely

Never share your private key or seed phrase with anyone.

Use your key anywhere

Your wallet works independently of deves.me — use it with any Ethereum-compatible app or service.

Wallet connection

Connecting a wallet is optional and only needed for crypto settlements. Your deves.me account is managed separately via email authentication.

What If deves.me Shuts Down?

Your funds and wallet exist independently of deves.me.

Export your key

Import into any wallet app to access your funds

Your wallet

Connected wallet stays yours — use it anywhere

How Crypto Settlements Work

Pay debts with USDC — a digital dollar verified on-chain.

USDC is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar (1 USDC = $1), issued by Circle. Currently using Base Sepolia (testnet) — testnet USDC has no real value.

1

Create

Settlement record is created in the database with status 'pending'.

2

Transfer

You sign the USDC transfer in your wallet. Transaction is sent to the Base blockchain.

3

Persist

Transaction hash is saved to the database — even if your browser crashes, your payment is safe.

4

Verify

Our server verifies the transaction on-chain. Settlement auto-confirms — no manual approval needed.

Automatic verification

The transaction is verified on-chain by our server — no recipient confirmation needed. You can view any crypto settlement on Basescan (the Base block explorer). If a transaction fails, you can retry safely — the system resumes from where it stopped.

Supported Wallets

deves.me supports standard Ethereum wallets (EOA) for crypto settlements. Connect MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, or any WalletConnect-compatible wallet.
